Hastings resident, Rosella Ann Mays, 74, of 1420 West 7th Street, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at her home. Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at the Juniata Community Church, Juniata, Nebraska with Pastor Herbert Scott officiating. Private family interment in the Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Juniata Community Church Women’s Christian Fellowship. Book signing will be Monday, April 14, 2008; 9AM-5PM. Mrs. Mays was born January 25, 1934 in Cowles, Nebraska to Floyd & Evelyn (Gerloff) Andersen. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1951. She married Clifford I. Mays in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She worked as a meat wrapper for various grocery stores for 25 years and later as a waitress at Andy’s Café. She attended Juniata Community Church and was a former member of D.O.E.S. and V.F.W. Auxiliary. Mrs. Mays was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; son, Michael Mays in 1959, a sister, Melva Stilson and a brother, Melvin Andersen. Survivors include: |
