Former Roseland resident, Leona M. Heuertz, 95, of Haven Home of
Kenesaw, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at Haven Home. Rosary service will be Friday, December 28, 2001; 7:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 29, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic with Father Steven Major officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Leona M. Heuertz was born April 1, 1906 in Holstein, Nebraska to Charles & Kathryn (Harth) Gentert. She married Alois M. Heuertz in Assumption, Nebraska on April 29, 1925 and he preceded her in death in 1954. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Hastings Regional Center. She was a life long area resident and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. Leona M. Heuertz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alois M. Heuertz, 1 son, James, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
