Wayne J. Tobias, 72, of 1311 N. Cedar Ave., Hastings, Nebraska, died
Thursday, December 6, 2001 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Omaha,
Nebraska. Memorial services will be Monday, December 10, 2001; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev Matt Nieman officiating. Private family interment at a later date. Wayne J. Tobias was born April 28, 1929 in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, to Charles & Julia (Johnsen) Tobias. He served twice in the United States Army from February 17, 1947 to August 17, 1948 and again from May 26, 1950 to June 21, 1953. He moved from Wisconsin to Hastings, Nebraska in 1955. On June 24, 1960, he married Mary M. Bauld in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a construction supervisor and a member of American Legion Post #11. Wayne J. Tobias was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Irene Beavois and a brother, Fred Tobias. Survivors include, Wife: Mary ‘Maxine’ Tobias - Hastings, NE Step Son & Spouse: Gary & Dara Richter - Springfield, NE Grandchildren: Chad Richter Abbi Richter Reid Richter Sisters & Spouse: June & Vern Zeeveld - Clayton, WI Arlene Tilseth - Somerset, WI Brothers & Spouse: Bob Tobias - Turtle Lake, WI Earl & Anne Tobias - Turtle Lake, WI Numerous nieces & nephews Memorial maybe given to the family Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
