Raymond J. 'Ray' Schmidt

Raymond J. ‘Ray' Schmidt, 78, of 2235 W. Assumption Rd, Hastings, Nebraska, died Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, February 3, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Kathleen Kasper officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Raymond J. ‘Ray' Schmidt was born July 12, 1922 in Adams County, Nebraska in the home on the family farm of Jacob & Lena (Eihusen) Schmidt. He married Mary C. Rader on February 21, 1950 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He was a retired farmer, living his entire life on the homestead. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Raymond J. ‘Ray' Schmidt was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harry, Carl and Ernest Schmidt and a sister, Helen Sickles.
