Louis J. Hohlfeld, 92, of #15 Kingston Dr., died Monday, July 1, 2002 at
Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 5, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Louis J. Hohlfeld was born July 9, 1909 in Hastings, Nebraska to Oscar L. & Agnes J. (Kealy) Hohlfeld. On September 19, 1929, he married Lois Pringle. He owned and operated Hohlfeld paint company. Later he did decorative consulting. He was a life long area resident and a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #1123. Louis J. Hohlfeld was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include, Wife: Lois Hohlfeld - Hastings, NE Daughters & Sons-in-law: Joan & Gene Empson - Clinton, IA Janet & Gene Higgins - Arlington, TX Brother: Joe Hohlfeld - Cedar Falls, IA 6 Grandchildren 1 Great Granddaughter Memorial may be given to the family
