George A. Kathman, 92, of Blue Hill Care Center, died Tuesday, October
15, 2002 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska. Rosary service will be Friday, October 18, 2002; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 19, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska. George A. Kathman was born September 7, 1910 in Nuckolls county near Mt. Clare, Nebraska on the family farm of William & Theresa (Lutkenhaus) Kathman. He attended school at St. Stephen’s near Lawrence, Nebraska and later moved to Helena, Montana. On May 19, 1942, he married Anna F. Schmidt at St. Mary’s Church in Helena, Montana. They later moved to a farm south of Lawrence, Nebraska where he farmed until retiring in 1979 and moved to Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. George A. Kathman was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a son-in-law. Survivors include, Wife: |
