Hastings resident, Edna G. Schumm, 93, of the Villa at Good Samaritan
Village, died Friday, August 22, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be Tuesday, August 26, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Edna G. Schumm was born September 4, 1909 in Kensington, Kansas to John and Myrtle (Morland) Kersey. On August 13, 1946 she married Anthony Schumm in Hastings, Nebraska and he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a Nurses Aide at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and was a drape maker for J.M. McDonald Company in Hastings, Nebraska. Edna was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Golden Age Eagle member and a past president of Eagle’s Auxiliary, all in Hastings, Nebraska. Edna G. Schumm was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony, 1 son, 1 daughter, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include, 3 Grandchildren: Marjorie Eitzmann - Hastings, Nebraska Danny Lee Benker - Grand Island, Nebraska Vicki Holz - Loxahatchee, Florida 2 Great Granddaughters: Amy Eitzmann - Hastings, Nebraska Angela Eitzmann - Hastings, Nebraska Son-In-Law: Harvey Benker - Hastings, Nebraska Nieces & Nephews Memorial may be given to Family’s Choice Visitation:
