Long time Doniphan resident, Vivian Toben, 62, died Saturday, December
20, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska Services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Doniphan, Nebraska with Pastor Rodney Armon officiating. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, Nebraska. Vivian Toben was born May 22, 1941 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Amil & Sarah (Walker) McHugh. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1959. She was a legal secretary until she married Ron Toben, on January 29, 1963. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Aid and also worked as church secretary for a number of years. She was on the Ladies Board for the Cedarview Cemetery Association. She enjoyed many activities with her grandchildren, reading and spending the winters in Arizona the past 7 years. Vivian Toben was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Gretchen and an infant brother. Survivors include, Husband: Ron Toben - Doniphan, NE Son & Daughter-in-law: Darren & Sheree Toben - Doniphan, NE Daughter & Son-in-law: Tracy & John Cox - Omaha, NE 5 Grandchildren: Eric Toben Andrea Toben Justin Cox Derek Cox Ryan Cox Sisters: Barbara Stevenson Patricia Fischer Marilyn Schulz Sharon McHugh Brothers: Ron McHugh Richard McHugh Memorial may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Doniphan, NE
