Hastings resident, Dale Eugene Thompson, 77, of 602 N. 2nd Ave, passed
away Saturday, December 25, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical
Center, Lincoln, Nebraska Rosary will be Tuesday, December 28, 2004; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 29, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Thompson was born December 29, 1926 in Beardsley, South Dakota to Ellis & Lillas (Adkins) Thompson. He graduated from Parkston High School, Parkston, South Dakota. On February 10, 1947, he married Alice M. Roeder. They moved from Parkston to Hastings, Nebraska in 1958. He worked for T-L Irrigation for 46 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Men’s Club and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, one brother and one sister. Survivors include, Wife: Alice Thompson - Hastings, NE Sons: Terry Thompson - Hastings, NE Rick Thompson - Chappell, NE Daughter & Son-in-law: Sandra & Larry Cleveland - Denver, CO Grandchildren: 4 Darren Thompson Destiny Thompson Tammy Seiwald Tim Walker 3 Step Grandchildren: Paula Morrow Randy Cleveland Renee Farmer 5 Great Grandchildren: Owen Thompson Taylor Seiwald Cole Seiwald Tyler Walker Tessa Walker 5 Step Great Grandchildren: Justine Noxon Prescott Farmer Mayson Morrow Chloe Morrow McKenzie Morrow Sisters: Dorothea Peterson - Springfield, SD Vivian Solay - Yankton, SD Nellie Green - Scotland, SD Half Brothers: Larry Thompson - Fremont, NE Jim Thompson - Parkston, SD Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
