Hastings resident, Sadie E. Johnson, 86, of Village Green died Thursday,
July 29 2004 at Perkins Pavilion. Services will be Monday August 2; 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Boeschen officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Ms. Johnson was born July 15, 1918 in Minden, Nebraska to Melvin H. & Theresa (Pinn) Abrams. She graduated from Minden High School, Minden, Nebraska and then from St. Joseph’s Academy of Hair Design in Hastings, NE. She was a cashier at OP Skaggs for several years and then a beautician and owned her own shop. She worked at Mary Lanning Hospital for 20 years as a switchboard operator before her retirement. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a past member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary and Ladies Circle at Peace Lutheran Church. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and sister. Survivors include, Daughter & Son in Law: Cynthia & Michael Maggart, Hastings, NE 2 Grandsons 5 Great Grandchildren Memorial may be given to Peace Lutheran Church
