Grand Island resident, Jeffrey R. Theis, 47, of 908 South Greenwich,
died Friday, March 12, 2004 at his home. Rosary service will be Wednesday, March 17, 2004; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 18, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Theis was born January 21, 1957 in Hastings, Nebraska to Francis E. & Rose M. (Mazour) Theis. He graduated from St. Cecilia’s High School, Hastings, NE in 1975. He attended University of Nebraska, Lincoln for 2 years where he studied Journalism. He married Trina Smith on September 28, 2002 at St. Stephens in Grand Island. He was the owner / manager of Theis Service Center in Grand Island since 1989. He was a member of Platt-Duetsche Society in Grand Island. Mr. Theis was preceded in death by one sister, Susan.
