Former Hastings resident, James C. ‘Jim’ Griffis, 47, of Lincoln,
Nebraska, died Monday, November 1, 2004. Services will be Friday, November 5, 2004; 1:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Private family interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska Jim Griffis was born June 29, 1957 in Hastings, Nebraska to James J. & Bernice O. (Engelhardt) Griffis. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and worked for Tam O’Shanter Restaurant & Lounge. Jim Griffis was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Randy Griffis and a niece, Shellie Claussen. Survivors include, Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Sandra & Ron Lutz - Lincoln, NE Margaret & Steve Slinkard - Fort Worth, TX Judy & Richard Douglas - Hastings, NE Mary & Loren McGinnis - Hastings, NE Nieces & Nephews VISITATION: Thur. 11-4-04; 6pm-9pm Fri. 11-5-04; 9am until service time |
