Hastings resident, Betty Bee Newlun, 79, of 2715 W. 8th Street, died
Friday, September 24, 2004 at her home. Services will be Tuesday, September 28, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska. Mrs. Newlun was born May 8, 1925 in McCook, Nebraska to Archie L. & Neva (Fassler) Ball. On July 2, 1959, she married Jack E. Newlun. They moved from McCook, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1960. She was a homemaker and attended Grace United Methodist Church. She loved the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping. Mrs. Newlun was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack E. Newlun, Sr., daughter, Peggy Wright, grandson, Kyle Newlun, three brothers, Robert Ball, Wayne Ball and an infant brother and one sister, Marge Simmons.
