Roger Lee Ockinga, 45, of 2520 East Idlewilde Road, Hastings, Nebraska,
died Saturday, September 11, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical
Center, Lincoln, Nebraska. Services will be Wednesday, September 15, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ with Ken Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska at a later date. Mr. Ockinga was born November 30, 1958 in Hastings, Nebraska to Vern C. & Ruth L. (Asmus) Ockinga. He graduated from Adams Central High School in 1977 and also graduated from Central Community College, Hastings, Nebraska. He married Georgette K. Saali on February 19, 1984. He was an engineer at the Hastings Regional Center and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, west of Glenvil, Nebraska. Mr. Ockinga was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Ockinga. Survivors include, Wife: Georgette Ockinga - Hastings, NE Sister & Brother-in-law: Sharon & Don Hachtel - Hastings, NE Nieces & Nephews: Shannon Hachtel Lindsay White Caitlin White Shawn Hachtel Sisters-in-law & Spouses: Sue & Mike White - Cheyenne, WY Marion & Dave Meadows - Denver, CO Aunt: Doris Thomas - Sidney, NE Memorial may be given to Roger Ockinga Memorial Fund VISITATION: Mon. 9-13-04; 5pm-9pm |
