Former Hastings resident, Robert J. Butzirus, 54, of Mount Holly, New
Jersey, died Monday, August 1, 2005 in Hastings, Nebraska. Services will be Friday, August 5, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Robert Mortvedt officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Butzirus was born January 12, 1951 in Hastings, Nebraska to Ernest ‘Junior’ & Vesta (Moschel) Butzirus. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1969 and received his B.S in accounting from Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska in 1974. He was an Assistant Regional Inspector General for the United States Department of Agriculture in New Jersey. On April 12, 1980, he married Annette C. Jacobsen in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mount Holly, New Jersey, the National Corvette Association and the Elks Club in Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Butzirus was preceded in death by his father in 1984. Survivors include, Wife: Annette C.
