Grand Island resident, Billy M. Land, 70, of 3111 W. College Apt #55, died Friday, February 11, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, February 15, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Larry Spomer officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska.

Billy Land was born January 8, 1935 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Edwin A. & Frances (Jennings) Land. He graduated from Glenvil High School, Glenvil, Nebraska. He farmed in the Glenvil area with his father and brother. He later drove truck for R Lazy K Feed Yards and then for Juniata Feed Yard for 14 years. He served in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1963. On December 5, 1959, he married Darlene R. McRoberts in Glenvil, Nebraska. They moved from Glenvil to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1979. He was also co-owner of Jessie’s Treasures & Woodcraft in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Mr. Land was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial may be given to The Family, A memorial will be established at a later date.
