Hastings resident, Twilia Griess, 70, of 420 So. Shore Drive, died
Saturday, January 29, 2005 at her home. Services will be Tuesday, February 1, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Miller and Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, Nebraska on February 1, 2005; 2:00 P.M. Twilia was born August 14, 1934 in Clay County near Edgar, Nebraska to Harry & Nellie (Knudson) Overturf. She graduated from Sutton High School, Sutton, Nebraska in 1952. On June 28, 1953, she married Demas Griess. She was owner/operator of Country Elegance Gift Shop, with her daughter, in Sutton, Nebraska. She moved from Sutton, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1985. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Twilia was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Amy Jo Griess. Survivors include, Husband: Demas Griess - Hastings, NE Daughter & Son-in-law: Belinda & Paul Nuss - Hastings, NE Son & Daughter-in-law: Bryan D. & Kathy Griess - Hastings, NE Grandchildren: 7 Jami Dorsey Zachary Griess Cajun Griess Nick Griess Amanda Nuss Carrie Nuss Casey Nuss Brother: Leo Overturf - Sutton, NE Sister: Shirley Eckhardt - Fountain Hills, AZ Memorial may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or Grace United Methodist Church VISITATION: Mon. 1-31-05; 3pm-9pm with family present from 6pm-8pm Tue. 2-1-05; 1 hr. prior to service at the church |
