Hastings resident, Raymond Mace, 82, of 2202 W. 11th, died Friday,
January 7, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital No services or visitation at this time, as Mr. Mace requested. Private interment at a later date. Mr. Mace was born January 28, 1922 in Hastings, Nebraska to William & Edith (Mead) Mace. He graduated from Hastings High School on May 31, 1940. He served in the United States Army during WWII. On June 5, 1948, he married Georgia R. McCauley in Denver, Colorado. He worked at Bill & Sons Dry Cleaning and later purchased Cope Cleaners and renamed it Mace Cleaners. He ran the business for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He was a past member of V.F.W. and a life long Hastings resident. Mr. Mace was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Floyd, Art & Willard Mace. Survivors include, Wife: Georgia Mace - Hastings, NE Daughters & Sons-in-law: Sherrie & Doug Hollister - Hastings, NE Sandy & Paul Fessler - Justin, TX 3 Grandchildren: Chris Hollister Aubrey Fessler Nicole Fessler Memorial may be given to Raymond L.
