Hastings resident, Elsie Lydia Allen, 88, of Perkins Pavilion, died
Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings, Nebraska. Graveside services will be Monday, August 1, 2005; 2:30 P.M. at Blue Valley Cemetery in Ayr, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Murray officiating. Procession will leave Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Allen was born May 28, 1917 in Franklin, Nebraska to Carl and Minnie (Schafer) Doyen. She attended Hastings High School. She married Newell W. Allen on March 1,1935 in Hastings, NE. He preceded her in death in 1974. She worked at Woolworth, Tempo and Allens. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Newell, brothers, Alfred Doyen, Lawrence Doyen, Clarence Doyen and sisters Marie Walker, and Viola Kreinheder.
