Hastings resident, Betty Barton, 74, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at
Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska. Services will be Thursday, July 28, 2005; 1:00 P.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Kearney Cemetery, Kearney, Nebraska. Ms. Barton was born July 16, 1931 in Kearney, Nebraska to John H. And Florence O. (Headley) Sands. She graduated from Kearney High School, Kearney Nebraska. She married Carl Barton on June 20, 1951, they later divorced after 25 years of marriage. Carl passed away on June 15, 2004. On May 7, 1994 she married Harold McCauley and they later divorced. She was a secretary for Hastings College music department for over 20 years before retiring. Ms. Barton was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Carl, 1 brother, Jack E. Sands, and a grandson, Chad Michael Green.
