Doniphan resident, Robert “Bob” McWhirter, 79, died Saturday, July 2,
2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Burial will be Wednesday, July 6, 2005; at 10:00 A.M. in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, Nebraska with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 6, 2005; 2:00 P.M. at Third City Christian Church, 4100 West 13th Street, Grand Island, Nebraska with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. Mr. McWhirter was born May 24, 1926 in rural Adams County, Nebraska to Cliff & Grace (Markham) McWhirter. He married Darlene M. Arnold on December 19, 1948 in Trumbull, Nebraska. He was a farmer and a member of Third City Christian Church in Grand Island, Nebraska. Mr. McWhirter was preceded in death by his parents.
