LeRoy A. Mangers

Hastings resident, LeRoy A. Mangers, 70, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at BryanLGH Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Friday, June 3, 2005; 8:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 4, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan & Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Mangers was born October 1, 1934 in rural Juniata, Nebraska to Arthur & Margaret (Parr) Mangers. He attended Assumption School. On June 14, 1955, he married Yvonne M. Miller at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He was a lifelong area resident and owner of M & S Builders Inc., founded in 1962. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael’s Mens Club, honorary life member of the 3rd & 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Eagles Club, a former trustee of Columbian Holding Company, and a past member of Southern Hills Country Club and served in the National Guard during the 1950's. He held numerous offices in the Mens Major Classic Bowling League and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Mangers was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Pamela and one granddaughter, Rachel Walker.

Sat. 6-4-05; 1 hr. prior to service at the church
