Hastings resident, Lawrence A, Wahl, 85, of 531 South Lexington, died
Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Nebraska Heart Institute, Lincoln,
Nebraska. Services will be Saturday, June 4, 2005; 10:30 at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Wahl was born March 13, 1920 in Atlanta, Nebraska to August & Freida (Schmidt) Wahl. He attended Rock Falls Schools. He married Leona L. Drahim on May 4, 1941 and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on May 4, 2005. He worked for the City of Hastings first in the Gas Department and later for the Street & Alley Department, retiring on June 2, 1986. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Eagles #592 and was a doorman there for 18 years. Mr. Wahl was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Clarence.
