Hastings resident, Gary K. Arndt, 67, of 1100 E. South Lot 45 Hastings,
Nebraska, died Saturday, March 05, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial
Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska. Services will be Thursday, March 10, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Father Ramon Decaen officiating. Burial will be in Ansley Cemetery, Ansley, Nebraska on Thursday, March 10, 2005; 2:30 P.M. Mr. Arndt was born January 28, 1938 in Aurora, Nebraska to Harold & Helen (Henthorne) Arndt. He graduated from Broken Bow High School, Broken Bow, Nebraska and served in the United States Navy from January 1955 to January 1962. On May 25, 1963, he married Charlene Mae West in Broken Bow, Nebraska. He was an electrician for Barney Electric in Broken Bow. In 1968, he moved to Hastings from Broken Bow and worked for ABC Electric. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1993 and returned to Hastings in 2000 after his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles, American Legion, V.F.W. , Elks and International Brothers of Electrical Workers Union. Mr. Arndt was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, one sister and a grandson.
