Former Roseland resident, Alfreda M. Bourg, 82, of Haven Home of
Kenesaw, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Haven Home. Rosary will be Wednesday, May 4, 2005; 6:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 5, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, all in Roseland, Nebraska. Mrs. Bourg was born October 26, 1922 in Elgin, Nebraska to George & Katherine (Reicks) Baumgartner. On April 16, 1940, she married Louis ‘Stub’ A. Bourg and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, quilting group of the church and volunteered at Catholic Social Services. She lived in the Roseland area for over 60 years. Mrs. Bourg was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis, two sons, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include, Daughter: Catherine Bailey - Fort Worth, TX Anna Eckhardt - Roseland, NE Sons: George Bourg - Aurora, NE John Bourg - Raymond, NE Robert Bourg - Hastings, Ne Edward Bourg - Council Bluffs, IA Kenneth Bourg - Kenesaw, NE 22 Grandchildren 24 Great Grandchildren Brothers: Leonard Baumgartner - Kenesaw, NE Sisters: Rita Schroeder - Omaha, NE Numerous Nieces & Nephews Memorial may be given to The Family VISITATION: Tue. 5-3-05; 1pm-9pm BVFH Wed. 5-4-05: 9am-4pm BVFH Wed. 5-4-05; 6pm - 8pm Sacred Heart Catholic Church Thur. 5-5-05; 1 hr. prior to service at the church |
