Hastings resident, Jeannette I. Brown, 95, of Perkins Pavilion, died
Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be Monday, October 24, 2005; 2:00 P.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor James Miller officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Rosedale Cemetery, Hall County, Nebraska. Mrs. Brown was born March 16, 1910 in Holstein, Nebraska to Harry O. & Alice (Mitchell) Spicknall. She moved from Holstein, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1936. She married William H. Brown on June 22, 1938 in Kansas and he preceded her in death in 1986. She was a registered nurse at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1966. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lamp Lighters, Retired Nurses Association and was a caller for AARP. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, four brothers, Clifford, Howard, Robert & Amos and five sisters, Mabel, Mildred, Florence, Laura & Lila. Survivors include, Sons: William H. Brown, Jr. - Grand Island, NE Daniel R. Brown - Hastings, Ne James D. Brown - Hastings, NE Daughter: Judith K.
