Former Hastings resident, Clara Marie Meiner, 99, of Liberty, Missouri,
died Tuesday, August 08, 2006 at Liberty Terrace Healthcare. Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2006; at 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel in Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Carl H. Rehwaldt officiating. Burial will be in Upland Cemetery, Upland, Nebraska. Visitation is Friday, August 11, 2006 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Memorial to Peace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Meiner was born May 14, 1907 to George and Hilma (Benson) Sinnen at Upland, Nebraska. She attended schools in and near Upland, graduating from Upland High School in 1925. On February 18, 1926, she married John Meiner and he preceded her in death in 1984. They lived on farms and were associated with Campbell Funeral Home until their retirement in 1980. Due to poor health, they moved to Hastings in 1980. In June of 2006, she moved to Liberty, Missouri. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings, Nebraska. Mrs. Meiner was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Dale, two brothers, Glenn & Lester Sinnen and two sisters, Alice Detrick and Hazel Schroder. Survivors include, Daughter-in-law: Elaine Meiner 3 Grandchildren: Cynthia McNeil Candyce Collins Randall Meiner Great Grandchildren: Holly Love Cory Mooney Michael Butcher Kelly Butcher Great-Great Grandchildren: Melissa Willcox Emily Butcher Eli Schiavo Kendall Butcher Several generations of extended family members and friends. |
