Hastings resident, 79, of Papillion, Nebraska, died Wednesday, August 2,
2006 at Hillcrest Health & Rehabilitation Center, Bellevue, Nebraska.
Services will be Monday, August 7, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Donald Hunzeker officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Mrs. Moon was born March 29, 1927 in Hastings, Nebraska to Arthur & Mabel (Pfeifer) Uhrmacher. She graduated from Hastings High School and married Walter R. Pedersen on January 20, 1946 in Immanuel Lutheran Church southwest of Hastings. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1972. She was a secretary for the City Engineers Department for 25 years, retiring in 1988. On January 31, 1976, she married Jake E. Moon in St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hastings and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2003. She lived in Hastings until 1976 and in Minden, Nebraska from 1976 until 2003. She was currently living in Mable Rose Estates, Papillion, Nebraska. Mrs. Moon enjoyed genealogy, crafts, playing cards & games with friends and was active in church functions. Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Walter R. Pedersen and Jake E. Moon, daughter, Barbara and a brother, Eddie Uhrmacher.
