Lifelong
Hastings resident, Kenneth W. Crabtree, 84, of Perkins Pavilion, died
Friday, December 29, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings,
Nebraska. Services will be Wednesday, January 3, 2006; 2:30 P.M. at
First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers
officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation
will be Tuesday from 5pm-9pm at the funeral home; and Wednesday one hour
prior to the service at the church. Memorials are to First St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church.
Mr. Crabtree was born November 29, 1922 in Hastings to Conrad & Essie
(Place) Crabtree. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1941. On
October 20, 1946 he married Millie H. Meinke and she preceded him in
death on July 19, 2001. He was an Agency Manager for the Keebler Company
in Hastings. He was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and
past member of Eagles, UCT, Elks and Elks Country Club. He loved his
family, life and was an avid golfer and Big Red fan.
Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by his parents, wife Millie
Crabtree and brother Ray Crabtree.
