Services will be Saturday, December 16, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Steve Markle officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2006; 5pm-9pm, Friday, December 15, 2006; 9am-9pm and Saturday, December 16, 2006; 9am until service time.

Mr. Monshower was born December 12, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert LeRoy & Minnie L. (Porter) Monshower. He grew up and went to school in Stockton, California. He served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1966 and was in the Air Force Reserves from 1980 until 1992. In 1967, he married Linda Burns in Lawrence, Kansas and they later divorced. He worked for General Motors in Kansas City, Kansas for 31 years, retiring in 2000. On April 2, 1998, he married Kathy Wagner, the darling of his life, in Platte City, Missouri. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 2003.

Mr. Monshower was preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, Haley Heeter and a brother, Daniel Monshower.
