Hastings resident, Alberta M. ‘Ann’ Alberts, 80, of 625 Lane ‘D’, died Sunday, September 24, 2006 at her home.

Private family graveside services and burial will be at Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, Nebraska with Pastor Rod Armon officiating.

Mrs. Alberts was born May 25, 1926 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Albert & Neva (Hepler) Thurber. She graduated from Nelson High School in 1944 and married Dale Alberts in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1947. She worked for Western Union during WWII in Hastings, Telephone Company in Grand Island and later was the bridal buyer for Schwesers Stores. They lived in Doniphan, Nebraska for 30 years before moving to Hastings five years ago. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Doniphan, Nebraska.

Mrs. Alberts was preceded in death by her parents and very special step father, Henry Malpert.
