Hastings resident, Donald D. Koch, 85, of 1002 East ‘F’ Street, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2007; 6pm-8:30 pm & Tuesday, May 1, 2007; 9am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Koch was born January 3, 1922 to David & Emma (Hinkle) Koch at Prosser, Nebraska. He moved with his family to Holstein, Nebraska at a young age. He attended the Holstein Public School system. He served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. On May 1, 1946, he married Jean Arnold. He attended United Television Laboratory School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1950-1952. From 1952-1955, he was employed by Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, then returned to Hastings and operated Don’s T.V. Sales & Service from 1956 until retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the V.F.W.

Mr. Koch was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers.
