Hastings resident, Alma D. Hlavaty, 75, of 1346 McDonald Avenue, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at her home.

Memorial service will be Friday, August 24, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Wigert officiating. Private family interment prior to service at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2007, 9AM-9PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Family Center.

Mrs. Hlavaty was born April 25, 1932 in Hamilton County, Nebraska to Fred & Kathryn (Emken) Mersch. She graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora, Nebraska and taught school prior to marring Richard Hlavaty on May 31, 1957 in Aurora. They moved to Hastings where she was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hlavaty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Mersch.
