Hastings resident, Richard R. Loskill, 69, of 522 So. Chicago, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Tuesday, December 11, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father Michael Houlihan. Visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2007; 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home & Tuesday, December 11, 2007 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools Trust.

Mr. Loskill was born February 26, 1938 in Roseland, Nebraska to George & Eva (Hemberger) Loskill. He married Shirley Thompson on February 26, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, Nebraska. He farmed and retired from Adams County as Weed Control Superintendent in 2005. After his retirement, he enjoyed working in his shop restoring a John Deere tractor and his bobcat. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandchildren.

Mr. Loskill was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Bernadette Dempewolf, Catherine Parr, Alice Trausch & Mary Kimminau.
