Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 14, 2007; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Steven Markle officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska. Memorials to Good Samaritan Village. Book signing will be Monday, February 12, 2007; 5pm-9pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2007; 9am-5pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2007; 9am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Tjaden was born October 21, 1941 in Hastings, Nebraska to Pete H. & Fannie S. (Goldenstein) Tjaden. He graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1959 and attended Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army Reserves from April 7, 1964 until October 6, 1964. He married Shirley A. Black on September 3, 1966 in Lincoln, Nebraska and she preceded him in death on February 24, 1994. He moved from Lincoln, Nebraska to Hastings in 1969. He was owner of P.R.N. Systems in Hastings. He married Peggy L. Smalling-Engle on July 14, 1994 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a member of Nebraska State Trap Shooting Association in Doniphan, Nebraska, Pheasants Forever in Hastings and a past Boy Scout leader. Mr. Tjaden was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Shirley and a sister, Anna M. Hartman. Survivors include: |
