Former Hastings resident, Mary Dobesh, 88, of Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be

Tuesday, July 17, 2007; 5 P.M.-9 P.M. & Wednesday, July 18, 2007; 8 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association.

Mrs. Dobesh was born July 4, 1919 in Hastings, Nebraska to George & Marguerita (Hein) Hefnider. She married Thomas W. Dobesh on April 2, 1938 in Hastings, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1992. She was a homemaker and loved working at The Specialty Shoppe for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Dobesh was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas W.; one sister, Emma Hummel and three brothers, William, Jake & Adam Hefnider.
