Hastings resident, John B ‘Jack’ Pittman, 57, of 706 East Park, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at his home.

Memorial service will be Thursday, July 5, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Rob Thornton officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Lawrence, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family. No visitation.

Mr. Pittman was born June 12, 1950 in Hastings, Nebraska to Johnie W. & Jean (Hopkins) Pittman. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1968 and joined the United State Marine Corps on June 23, 1968 and was discharged as a sergeant on June 22, 1972. On May 29, 1996, he married Mary J. (Resler) Peters. He retired from Hastings Pork due to his health.

Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Ryan Pittman.
