Former Blue Hill resident, Laura Johnson, 100, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Wednesday, June 20, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. James Witt officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, both in Blue Hill, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or The Lutheran Hour. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2007; 9am-9pm at the funeral home & Wednesday, June 20, 2007 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 26, 1907 in Adams County near Blue Hill, Nebraska to Harm & Fannie (Heeren) Meester. She married William F. Johnson on October 5, 1927 and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. She was a homemaker and a life long area resident.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, daughter, Arline Oxner, sons-in-law, Carl Oxner & Leonard Schmidt, granddaughter, Melinda Reisel, great granddaughter, Jessica Priest, six brothers, Leonard, Louis, Raymond, Melvin, Alvin & John Meester.
