Rosary will be Friday, March 16, 2007; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 17, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials to Parkinson’s Research or Mary Lanning Hospice. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2007; 5pm-9pm, Friday, March 16, 2007; 9am-9pm & Saturday, March 17, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Mr. Kathman was born March 6, 1932 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Edward & Frances (Reining) Kathman. He attended St. Stephens school, Lawrence, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from January 15, 1953 until November 30, 1954. He married Helen Klatt on November 7, 1955 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. They moved to Doniphan, Nebraska in 1965 and to Glenvil, Nebraska in 1978. He worked at Leverage Tool in Glenvil and in maintenance at Thermo King. In 1998, they moved to Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Glenvil American Legion and V.F.W. in Hastings. His hobbies were making wood furniture, gardening and watching his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Kathman was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: |
