Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2007; 9 AM – 9 PM with family present 6-8 PM. Penuel was born March 12, 1911 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Harry & Julia (Johnson) Klos. She lived in Omaha and Lincoln before moving to Hastings in 1921. She was a polio survivor. She graduated from Hastings High School and is listed in the National Honor Society. She was also a graduate of Hastings Business College. She was a member of Alpha Iota International Business Sorority. She married George Souders on June 3, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1981. He was in the Air Force stationed at Harvard Air Base. She worked for the Hastings Tribune, Western Brick & Supply and retired as Deputy City Treasurer in 1977. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was active in the V.F.W., P.T.A., and was a Girl Scout Leader & Sunday school teacher for many years. She also was a member of the Mary Lanning Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Souders will be welcomed into heaven by her parents Harry & Julia Klos, her sister, Kathryn Park and her husband, George. She will be missed greatly but we are thankful for the many years of love she shared with her family and friends. She will be remembered with love by: |

resident, Penuel M. Souders, our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother,
Mother-in-law, and friend, 96, passed away in her sleep on Friday,
November 16, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Village.
