Rosary will be Thursday, September 6, 2007; 7:30 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 7, 2007; 10:00 A.M both at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be Friday, September 7, 2007; 4:00 P.M. in St. Francis Cemetery, Humphrey, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2007; 1PM-9PM & Thursday, September 6, 2007; 9AM-5PM at the funeral home & Friday, September 7, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials to Hastings Catholic Schools Matching Teachers Fund or Catholic Social Services. Mr. Boesch was born January 23, 1954 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Harry & Dolores (Kraus) Boesch. He graduated from Humphrey St. Francis High School, Humphrey, Nebraska in 1972 and earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska. On June 2, 1979, he married Lynn M. Brockhaus at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey. Alan began as a training engineer in Columbus in 1983. He advanced to Electrical Engineer II later that year and Electrical Engineer I in 1986. He was promoted to instrument and control engineer supervisor in 1987 and in 1995, transferred to engineering supervisor in York. In 1997, he was promoted to control center support supervisor at Doniphan. In 2002, he became Operational Compliance supervisor and was selected to serve on the U.S.-Canada Power Outage Task Force in 2003. He was employed at Nebraska Public Power District, Doniphan, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael’s Men’s Club, Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council 1123 and Southern Hills Men’s League. Mr. Boesch was preceded in death by his father, Harry Boesch in 1999. Survivors include: |
