Heartwell resident, Marguerite V. Brown, 89, of 201 Washington, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at her home.

Rosary will be Tuesday, December 16, 2008; 7:30 P.M. at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Memorial mass will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Heartwell, Nebraska with Father Nicholas Baker officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, December 17. 2008; 2:30 P.M. in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Book signing will be Tuesday, December 16, 2008; 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial will be established.

Mrs. Brown was born October 23, 1919 to Hugh & Bertha (Arbogast) Anderson in Clearwater, Nebraska. She graduated in 1939 from Spencer High School, Spencer, Nebraska and married Francis Brown on June 30, 1941 in Valentine, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1995. She lived in Ainsworth, Norfolk and Hastings, Nebraska. She was a cook at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and was also a receiving clerk for Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Altar Society and V.F.W. Auxiliary in Heartwell, Nebraska.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; brother, Vernon and a sister, Leona Papstein.
