Rural Hastings resident, 59, Karen Jo Hohlen, of 3735 W. 82nd, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at her home.

Services will be Saturday, November 15, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2008; 9:00 A.M.- 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Saturday, November 15, 2008, 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Karen Hohlen Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Hohlen was born October 28, 1949 in Hastings, Nebraska to Glen & Laura (Allsup) Lamphiear. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1968 and attended Central Community College. On April 10, 1970, she married Roger D. Hohlen at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings. She was a homemaker and a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking.

Mrs. Hohlen was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Lamphiear.
