Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church west of Glenvil with Pastor Renee Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Fairview Cemetery, Lenox, Iowa at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2008; 5P.M.-9.M. Friday, February 1, 2008; 9A.M.-9P.M. with family present 6P.M.-8P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hr. prior to service at the church on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Ms. Cole was born June 2, 1918 in Merle Junction, Iowa to John & Daisy (Moss) Cole. She moved to Creston with her family the same year. She was confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in 1932 and graduated from Creston High School in May of 1936. She was employed at Iowa State Savings Bank until moving to Hastings in 1981. She worked at Herberger’s for 23 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church west of Glenvil.

Ms. Cole was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Phyllis Novotne and a nephew, Rev. Richard D. Novotne.
