Life long Blue Hill resident, DuWayne (Bud) Kranau, 73, of 518 N. Willson Blue Hill, NE, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.

Private family celebration of life will be held, with a private burial at a later date.

Mr. Kranau was born August 31, 1934 in Ayr, NE to Harold and Sharlet (Sprinkle) Kranau. He graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1952. On June 7, 1953 he married Mary Reiber. He was a farmer rancher in Ayr, NE until his retirement. He enjoyed raising registered Angus cattle and participated in many registered cattle shows. His time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was most precious to him. He spent many enjoyable hours playing cards and visiting with his special friends at the Country Store.

Mr. Kranau was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tony Kranau, sister, Dolores Connell.
