Verna M. Consbruck

Hastings resident, Verna M. Consbruck, 90, of Perkins Pavilion, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Perkins Pavilion.

Rosary will be Thursday, October 5, 2006; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 6, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2006; 5pm-9pm, Thursday, October 5, 2006; 9am-9pm at Butler-Volland Funeral Home & Friday, October 6, 2006, 1 hr. prior to service at the church. A memorial will be established.

Mrs. Consbruck was born September 6, 1916 on a farm near Roseland, Nebraska to John & Mary (Theisen) Schmitz. She attended Roseland High School and on September 10, 1935, she married Emil ‘Jack’ Consbruck .He preceded her in death in August of 1966. She was a homemaker and a cook at Juniata Public Schools for 13 years, was a clerk at J.M McDonald’s, cashier at Hastings Middle School lunch room and a cook at Sunnyside. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Altar Society & Catholic Daughters.

Mrs. Consbruck was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers & six sisters.
