Hastings resident, Laurayne F. Streff, 87, of 1116 N. Sycamore, Apt. 17, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Perkins Pavillion.

Rosary will be Monday, August 18, 2008; 7:30 P.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 19, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M., Monday, August 18, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 19, 2008; 1 hr. prior to mass at the church. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools or charity of your choice.

Mrs. Streff was born February 12, 1921 in Heartwell, Nebraska to Francis LeRoy & Daisy B. (Haws) McCroden. On June 17, 1941, she married James W. Streff at Holy Family Catholic Church in Heartwell, NE. She was a LPN, Postmaster in Heartwell, NE, and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of The Americas, and National League of Postmasters.

Mrs. Streff was preceded in death by her parents; brother Albert LeRoy McCroden, son, Terry Streff, daughter-in-laws, Mary Streff, Julie Streff, and Sherry Streff
