Hastings resident, Leonard F. Roth, 89, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, August 11, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Hastings with Rev. Steven Peeler officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Leonard was born May 23, 1922 in Coleridge, Nebraska to Fred F. & Ruby (Bayne) Roth. He graduated from Coleridge High School and attended Wayne State College for two years. Leonard served with the U.S. Air Force in the Intelligence Corps from January 5, 1943 until October 25, 1945. He married Lillian C. Erpenbach on January 12, 1946 in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked for U.S. Corps of Engineers in the management and auditing departments. Leonard was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lochland Country Club, and N.A.R.F.E.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Roicy Flanders.
