Georgena Dean Miller

Hastings resident, Georgena Dean Miller, 89, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church, Ansley, Nebraska with Pastor Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in Ansley Cemetery, Ansley, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2008; 1:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 1 hr. prior to service at the church in Ansley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Ansley, Nebraska.

Mrs. Miller was born November 7, 1918 in Custer County, Nebraska to George & Cecil (Spencer) Munn. After the 8th grade, she assisted in the care of her siblings. On August 18, 1937, she married Leonard C. Miller and he preceded her in death in 1994. They lived southwest of Ansley, where they were engaged in ranching and farming. In 2001, she moved from Ansley to Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ansley, Nebraska and was talented at the piano and shared her love of music at many community events. She was known for her cooking, especially her homemade noodles. She loved to laugh and host dinners, which leave fond memories for her family.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
