Hastings resident, Minnie P. Ridge, 92, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Minnie was born September 17, 1917 in Birds Point, Missouri to Fred & Anna P. (Freeman) Cross. On October 17, 1934, she married Archie Ridge. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1960. In 1947, they moved to Hastings from Anniston, Missouri. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for Neal Jones Insurance from 1961 until she retired in 2003 at the age of 85. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hastings.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie Ridge, Sr.; daughters, Shirley Swift, Jannice Baker, and infant daughter, Patsy Ruth Ridge; grandchildren, Terry Swift, Donald A. Ridge, Jr., Ivan Swift, and Daniel H. Ridge; daughter-in-law, Dee Anna Ridge; granddaughter-in-law, Jamie Ridge; and great-grandson, Troy Milles.
